#13. SAM FISHER (SPLINTER CELL)

Sam Fisher is the classic spy. A gruff soldier, extremely capable regardless of whether he’s relying on a vast array of gadgets or purely his own brain and brawns, and a textbook example of a lone wolf. Throughout the Splinter Cell series, he’s proven time and again that his badassery knows no limits, and though there have, of course, been dips, it’s impossible not to think of him as a near-perfect protagonist for a spy series. And of course, the excellent performances of Michael Ironside have only made him more iconic.
