SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD
People were not very happy when Nintendo revealed that the Mario game being worked on for the Wii U was not a third Galaxy game, or something that would rock the foundations as the Wii classic had done back in 2007. Super Mario 3D World looked enjoyable, yes, but it also looked more of the same. And while 3D Land had been excellent on the 3DS, people seemed to not want more of the same. But when 3D World came out, it wowed one and all. Bringing the trademark addictiveness and enjoyability of a typical Mario game, Super Mario 3D World became one of the first true killer apps on the Wii U, along with staking its claim as one of the best games to be released in the year of 2013.
