This game led the revolution of multiplayer-only first person shooters. It even forged many so-called “hardcore” gamers and professional gaming leagues. With an enviable blend of gameplay and graphics, Counter Strike quickly became a world-wide phenomenon that very few companies can live up to even today. Such was the brilliance of the initial mod that Valve hired creator Minh “Gooseman” Le to work at the company. It can also be held responsible for popularizing FPS mods as we know them today.
