The main character in Final Fantasy 6 was supposed to be a male
The developers of Final Fantasy 6 originally intended for the main protagonist to be male, but after much deliberation, they decided against this and went for something unique. The developers came up with Terra who in Final Fantasy 6 is quite a force to be reckoned with. Her unique abilities makes her a key player in the war between the Gestahlian Empire and the rebel factions.
