Popular theory to explain the story of FF8 involves squall dying in the initial hours

A lot of people were taken aback when Squall died in the initial hours of Final Fantasy 8, in fact many, and I mean many conspiracy theorist have come with their own theories, some better than others to really look into what happened. One popular theory is when Leonhart, dies in battle with adversary Edea Kramer Squall. In the scene, it’s shown that Squall is impaled with an icicle and plummets to the ground, only to wake up in a torture room. This then leads to the belief that the rest of the game is made up of Squall’s “dream world”.
