The Sims series carries an immense reputation and fan following, and it came as no surprise that the developers wanted to jump on the hype bandwagon. The problem was that the developer added the hype a little thick, so much so, that we expected too much from them. Now while the developer retained some of  thecore game play, the game still did not live up to the massive hype generated pre-launch.
