Over the past few years we have played games that have kept us on our toes and on the edge of our seat, and many times we often wondered how can a game get so suspenseful or scary? Gaming has evolved to such a state where it has surpassed the movie industry in terms of storytelling and the whole difference between the gaming industry and the movie industry is that in the game we are the protagonists and the heroes.

And that idea itself is what makes us invest in a video game so much, not only financially but emotionally as well. With that being said, here are some games that even though they weren’t filed in the suspense or thriller category, gave us all the thrills and chills at some point while playing them.

Silent Hill: The Room

Silent Hill: The Room did a decent enough job in terms of gameplay and story. The game made it’s departure from the typical features of the series  and because of that received a range of reactions. The developers  respected where it came from and it try to do anything too flashy. The most beautiful thing in the game, besides the atmosphere, the sights, the music and the monsters, is the mystery that we have to try to find out about Walter Sullivan. A game really well done and, in my opinion, one of the best in the series.
