Everything that Neowiz has shown of Lies of P’s upcoming expansion, titled Overture, has made it clear that it’s going to be a substantial new chunk of content, and we now have a clearer idea of exactly what that’ll translate to in terms of gameplay hours.
In an IGN preview, game director Jiwon Choi has revealed that Lies of P: Overture will be roughly 15-20 hours long for “experienced players”- which of course means those less familiar with the genre can expect a longer runtime.
That said, that doesn’t mean the expansion is being made primarily with the most hardcore of hardcore players in mind. Speaking with Eurogamer, Choi stated that Overture attempts to be a welcoming experience for both experienced and relatively newer players.
“We wanted to really make the content accessible and enjoyable to the veterans of the game, as well as new users,” said Choi. “So we made a game that satisfies both segments of customers. Our prioritisation is more focused on the overall game experience.”
Lies of P is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Overture launches for the same platforms sometime this Summer.
