Penumbra: Black Plague
This game is not the first Penumbra game, but rather it is a sequel, and it is a horrifying sequel at best. Black Plague was praised for having a horrific atmosphere and a very well designed and executed plot. The developers made heavy changes to the game and emphasized the use of stealth and having the player avoid attacks by enemy creatures. The story continues from the previous episode, Penumbra: Overture, showing the protagonist Philip moving away from the abandoned mine setting of the original to explore an underground research base.
