Video games are evolving to near realism these days and it comes as no surprise that developers are finding more and more ways to have players execute some pretty bad-ass takedowns that are very real and brutal. Yes, you can run and gun and kick your way through a level, but let’s be honest, it’s the takedowns that really matter and it’s the takedowns that really make you feel like a complete bad-ass.

And as I mentioned with video games being more and more realistic, you will find that cinematic finishing moves are getting more common, brutal, and can range from amusing to classy, and can go beyond disgusting and gory. Keep in mind that the takedowns mentioned here vary from a mere beating to plain executions. With that said here are our top takedowns in video games.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The X-Men Origins: Wolverine  game was quite good and had potential to be a great game, the combat was fluid, you could actually see Logan’s scars being healed, and the best thing about the game was that the takedown moves were just over the top. For example, Logan can also use the environment to his advantage, such as by impaling foes on spikes. Or if he is really angry, he can impale a person with his claws and then rip them apart.
