Given the fact that Gears of War 3 ends with you taking on a giant flying bug queen while hordes of Locusts attack you at the same time, we’d say the game does a pretty good job of ending things with a bang. It also helps that this is a boss fight that actually requires plenty of skill and attention. Myrrah has some very dangerous attacks that she can let lose, some of which can even destroy flimsier pieces of cover, so staying on the move and finding cover at the right moments is very important. When played on Hardcore or Insane, this fight is particularly difficult, but it’s easy to appreciate its solid design on any difficulty.
