If you thought inXile Entertainment was only busy with updating Wasteland 2 to Unity 5 and bringing it to Xbox One and PS4, then this new video for Torment: Tides of Numenera should excite you. As the developer’s second major Kickstarter project – which raised $4,188,927 from an initial goal of $900,000 – Torment: Tides of Numenera is a spiritual sequel to Torment: Planesape and will introduce some new settings to players, such as the Ninth World. Check it out above.

The Ninth World is Earth but not necessarily the original state of the world. Instead, it takes place one billion years into the future with the past eight iterations of the world manifesting in ruins littering the landscapes. The term “Numenera” itself refers to the various technologies remaining from these previous worlds. You can head here to find out more.
