Total War: Warhammer 2 has a new trailer unveiling a highly requested race – the Skaven, composed of a numerous species that live in the subterranean lairs of the world. Apparently it’s now the time for the Skaven to spread their influence in the New World the only way they know how – through violence. Check out the trailer below.

The Skaven are the fourth playable race in Total War: Warhammer 2 and join the Lizardmen, Dark Elves and High Elves. The Norscans will also be playable but they’re part of a pre-order bonus and must be purchased separately for those who don’t pre-order.

Total War: Warhammer 2 is out on September 28th and will be incredibly ambitious. The Creative Assembly is looking to combine the campaign maps of the first and second games for those who own both, creating a massive land mass to explore. You can look forward to this particular update coming “shortly after” launch. The Norscans and other races from the base games will also be supported.
