Team up with friends or take them down with you.

Haemimont Games’ Tropico 5 will be out later this month on PC and will introduce a ton of new features in line with the series’ banana republic building simulation. The newest trailer gives us a look at this week’s co-op and competitive multiplayer modes. Check them out above.

The modes allow you to either work together with your friends or work to bring them down. In terms of other features, Tropico 5 will include new eras to explore and Dynasties. The latter lets El Presidente appoint family members to the administration to ensure the continued reign of the man’s line. There are the usual rebels and unsavoury elements to deal with as well.

It’ll be interesting to see how the new features play into the multiplayer modes. Tropico 5 will release worldwide for PC on May 23rd. It will release for retail in North America on June 3rd while the Mac and Xbox 360 versions will release later this Summer. The PS4 version will release this Fall.
