It was to be expected.

Ubisoft has announced that Ivory Tower’s The Crew, an open world online racing MMO with large expansive roads that took hours to navigate in real-time, has been delayed till December 2nd. The game was originally slated to release this November.

The good news then is that it’s only been delayed by a few weeks and Ubisoft will be holding another closed console beta for the Xbox One and PS4 to garner more feedback while offering players a chance to experience the game.

Creative director Julian Gerighty stated, “Our philosophy remains to deliver the best game possible. We’re all committed to delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre and we can’t wait for The Crew to be in the hands of the players.”

The Crew will be heading to PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. What are your thoughts on the delay? Will it matter given the other high profile releases in November? Let us know in the comments.
