UK Charts: Assassin’s Creed Origins Secures Top Spot, Super Mario Odyssey Close Behind

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus sales down 50 percent from The New Order.

Gfk Chart-Track’s game sales for UK retail are in, covering many of the major releases last week. Unsurprisingly, Assassin’s Creed: Origins debuted in first place which somewhat proves that absence makes the heart fonder. However, sales were a bit lower than that of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which released in 2015 so it might not be that big of a deal.

Super Mario Odyssey debuted in second place and was only a few units behind Origins. With just one platform to release on, that’s impressive indeed. FIFA 18 was in third place followed by another new title in Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus at fourth. Sales were down by more than 50 percent from Wolfenstein: The New Order which is also some cause for concern.

Gran Turismo Sport is in fifth place followed by Grand Theft Auto 5 and  Destiny 2. It’s worth noting that these charts only cover physical retail sales and not digital downloads.
