UK Charts for this week revealed: Max Payne 3 beats Diablo 3

Posted By | On 21st, May. 2012

You know why people love Rockstar Games? Because their games sell so much d’uh. It seems that Max Payne 3 has beaten Remedy’s 2003 Max Payne 2 launch by 10:1. I guess that’s a pretty fantastic performance and has also topped the UK charts beating Blizzard’s Diablo 3.

I honestly didn’t see that coming. EA’s FIFA Street and FIFA 12 stay in top 5, and Sniper Elite V2 is at no. 4. The Xbox 360 version of Max Payne 3 held a 58% share compared to the 42% share of the PS3 version. I gotta say, the PS3 version performed pretty well, and it could be because it came on one Blu Ray, while the Xbox 360 version was on two DVDs.

  1. Max Payne 3
  2. Diablo 3
  3. FIFA Street

  6. Prototype 2
  7. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  8. Battlefield 3
  9. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
