UK Game Charts: The Last Guardian Debuts in Seventh Place

A disappointing start for the long-awaited exclusive.

Sony’s The Last Guardian took nearly a decade to finally release and while it was criticized for some of its controls and the annoying AI of Trico, critics generally appreciated it. Unfortunately, consumers in the UK didn’t feel the same way – Gfk Chart Track reports that the PS4 exclusive debuted in seventh place for its UK charts in its opening week.

This doesn’t include digital sales and the title was only on sale for two days. However, it’s still much below expectations at this stage. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is currently in first place followed by FIFA 17 in second, Battlefield 1 in third and Final Fantasy 15 holding strong at fourth place.

Meanwhile, Dead Rising 4 is in fifth place despite middling reviews followed by Watch Dogs 2 which also witnessed some rather disappointing first week sales. Pokemon Sun, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition and Pokemon Moon round out the rest of the top ten.
