UK retailer GAME: “Loads of customers” have dropped deposits on PS4

It seems the PS4 is proving to be popular as a lot of people have preordered the thing; well actually dropped a 20 pounds deposit on the machine.

The interest level for the console surely seems to be high at this stage since it’s supposed to be releasing on holiday 2013. The console reveal event was viewed by millions of people and the official trailer on YouTube has 25 million views right now.

There are a lot of places taking preorders for the console in the UK, and such an interest bodes well for the industry as whole. This generation has gone on for far too long and has been declining in terms or revenue generated, so this is a good news.

Of course, it is early days and this isn’t an indication of how the console will sell once released, but the retailers seem happy at this stage.
