Less than half a decade ago, Capcom launched Street Fighter IV, the fourth numbered installment in their long running, pioneering, prestigious genre defining fighting game saga- since then, they have released multiple updates to the game including Super Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, and now, this year’s upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV promises to be the be all end all update to the venerable fighting game.

Capcom has also announced a collector’s edition for the game. The 2014 Challengers Costume Pack, consisting of alternate costumes for each of the five new characters for free, includes five alternate costumes. The five new costumes include: Jungle Elena, Medieval Hugo, Pirate Poison, Wizard Rolento and Gladiator Decapre.

Announced last year, we finally have a release date to this ultimate edition of Street Fighter IV- it launches this year on August 5 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. No release date for any of the three next generation consoles or the handhelds has been announced yet, although Capcom may yet announce a release for them yet. Stay tuned to GamingBolt.
