Uncharted 4 A Thief's End

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the ominously titled fourth entry in Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series of video games, starring the wisecracking, quip spewing series protagonist Nathan Drake, who is joined on his globe trotting adventures by Sully, Elena, Chloe, and an assortment of other mismatched folks. The games have been incredible so far, but they have all also been on a pretty tight two year development cycle schedule.

That’s not the case with Uncharted 4, however, which Naughty Dog tells us has been in development for two years already, meaning that by the time it launches next year, it will have had the longest development cycle for any Uncharted game so far.

This information comes to us courtesy of Richard Lemarchand, a former developer at Naughty Dog, who left more than two years ago, but confesses that he still did some preliminary work on Uncharted 4. He also is unclear on whether Uncharted 4 will be the last entry in the franchise, though he ‘hopes that it isn’t.’

So do we, Richard. So do we.
