Uncharted 4 A Thief's End

It’s not even a year since the PlayStation 4 was released, and we already have games that look several times better than what is present on the PlayStation 3. Whether it be the sci-fi setting we saw in Killzone Shadow Fall, the cinematic look and feel of The Order 1886 or the simply superb Uncharted 4 teaser, we are slowly starting to see the potential of the PlayStation 4.

Speaking to SCEA’s Daimion Pinnock, GamingBolt asked whether we will eventually see games that look better than Uncharted 4 and The Order 1886 on the PlayStation 4.

“Yeah, I mean we are not even a year into the life cycle of the PS4 and I think that with a lot of the titles, I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. I think ultimately, as we get more used to the PS4, you’re definitely going to see teams being a lot more creative and a lot more inspirational with the titles that are on display. The titles you’ve just mentioned, they’re really good, high quality and always looking for new ways to innovate and bring stuff to the consumers,” he said.

When Sony revealed the first ever teaser for Uncharted 4, fans and critics alike were claiming that the footage was nothing but CG. GamingBolt later on confirmed that the teaser was a part of an actual level within the game and was running real time on the PlayStation 4. This goes to show that there is still a lot of untapped potential within the console and it won’t be a big surprise that Uncharted 4 might actually look better than what it did in the trailer. After all, the game is due next year.

Daimion Pinnock is also the Sr. Producer of LittleBigPlanet 3 and we will have more about the awesome sandbox puzzler in the coming days. Stay tuned.
