Unravel

Remember Coldwood Studios’ cute yet gorgeous looking platformer Unravel which was featured at Electronic Arts’ E3 press conference this year? It seems to have a release date, of sorts, for next year.

EA revealed during its recent financial earnings call that the platformer will be out in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2016, indicating a release date between between January 1st and March 31st 2016. The game will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC and its release seems to be around the time that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 are out.

Unravel tells the story of Yarny, a little anthropomorphic being composed entirely of yarn who can use it to traverse through different environments. Not many details have been revealed about the story aside from players moving away from what they love in the process of unraveling the yarn that makes up Yarny.
