Final Fantasy Tactics creator Yasumi Matsuno launched a Kickstarter for his newest game, Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians, which is “the spiritual successor in a storied line of epic tactical RPGs” from the man himself. Progress for the crowd-funding campaign is currently at $390,747 of the $600,000 total courtesy of 9,619 backers with only 23 days to go.

In a Facebook update, it seems that PS Vita and 3DS editions have been moved up the stretch goal chart, but more importantly, we’ll also be getting a PlayStation 4 version. That is, if the development team can raise $1.25 million via Kickstarter. Oddly enough, the PS Vita version requires $1 million in funding while the 3DS version requires $1.5 million in funding.

It certainly wouldn’t hurt to have a tactical JRPG from the man who practically put them on the map. Hit up the Kickstarter if you want to see the game funded, and let us know your thoughts on a PS4 release.
