Until Dawn New Trailer Embodies Spirit of Saw

Supermassive Games' upcoming horror title veers off the serial killer trail and straight into Jigsaw territory.

Sony Computer Entertainment unveiled Until Dawn for the Playstation 3, which supports Move and channels the horror often seen in teen slashers, as a group of youngsters find themselves stranded up top a mountain cabin during a snow storm with a crazed serial killer on the loose. Of course, this guy seems to be copying other famous movie killers, as the latest trailer shows off a very Saw-esque vibe. It’s somewhat fitting, since this is usually the time of the year we’re subjected to another Saw film, besides Sony’s drive to give Until Dawn a very “movie horror” like feel.

Overall, with Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Outlast, the horror game market is starting to show some life again. Hopefully, with it’s implementation of horror movie scares and “sexy” thrills, Until Dawn will be able to bring a new spin of horror to the Playstation 3. And hell, having another Move game (remember those?) doesn’t hurt.
