In a recent post talking about its 2023, developer Poncle has stated that it is still looking into adding online co-op to Vampire Survivors. According to the post, the feature is a huge challenge for the studio, and while it can’t make any promises, things are looking promising.

The post also reveals that Vampire Survivors will be getting cross-saves soon. The studio has been testing the feature in the public beta, but compliance with various data protection laws from all over the world, such as GDPR and CCPA have led to delays.

Moving forward, Poncle has also revealed its plans for the next major update f or Vampire Survivors. With the recently-released Emergency Meeting DLC being update 1.8, the studio is now working on update 1.9, codenamed Honey Moon. The update is slated to be coming to all platforms in February, bringing with it performance and quality-of-life improvements. Future updates are stated by the studio to be around the size of Whiteout when it comes to content.

Emergency Meeting was the last major DLC released for Vampire Survivors, and is essentially a collaboration with social deduction game Among Us. The DLC brings with it a new map, as well as new mechanics and weapons.
