Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is going to take you on a pretty lengthy ride when it comes out next year. The game promises a lot of narrative and choices that will define the role playing aspect of the sequel to the cult classic. And those choices won’t always be easy ones to make by the sound of it.

In a blog post from Senior Narrative Designer Cara Ellison, she talked about the choices you’ll be forced into that you may not like. While the game will include some scenarios where you’ll have a pretty obvious path, there will be many where a seemingly innocent choice will backfire and you’ll be forced into situations where you “can only choose who you hurt.” Part of the game’s narrative is navigating old vampiric politics with characters who can be pretty terrible, so don’t expect every choice to be clean cut.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will release in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. To get a look at over 20 minutes of gameplay footage, look through here.
