Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Playthrough Can Last About 30 Hours

If you aren't an "obsessive completionist", that is.

Hardsuit Labs’ Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be taking many cues from the previous game especially with the amount of replay value available. That’s because you can choose different Disciplines and clans, mixing and matching to achieve various builds (to say nothing of the different endings). The question is: How long will a single playthrough take?

Speaking to PCGamesN at Gamescom, product manager Florian Schwarzer said that it would take about 30 hours to run through the campaign at a comfortable pace. But if you’re a completionist, then that number could potentially go up. “At the beginning, we expect that quite a few people will not be playing this only once, but instead play it in one configuration and then choose different backgrounds, a different plan, and go right back in.”

“For one playthrough, right now we’re assuming about a 30-hour playthrough on the first go. That’s for somebody who isn’t an obsessive completionist, but who likes to have seen the world.” This seems to indicate that there will be plenty of secrets, side content and additional objectives to complete, to say nothing of trying out each Discipline and clan available. Either way, replay value seems to be the main hook and we’re just fine with that.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is out in March 2020 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out roughly 29 minutes of new gameplay footage below courtesy of IGN.
