4. Dark Souls II

Dark Souls II is not directly related to its predecessor but that by no means implies that it doesn’t do justice to the game. Dark Souls II carries on the legacy of the series with its (super) challenging gameplay which is as fun as it is frustrating, in a good way. While there are speculations that the game may be even more difficult than Dark Souls, what’s certain is that the gameplay will be just as rewarding with each completed challenge. As the game banks on its playing difficulty and the subsequent sense of achievement, the developers have seen to it that the game feature a number of combat improvements like dual wielding, whilst maintaining the same eeriness, albeit refined, that kept you on edge in the first game. The game’s multiplayer holds immense promise too as the game will have dedicated servers. With a hoard of improvements, Dark Souls II seems like a very strong follow up to its predecessor.
