1. Sleep Disorders – “36 hours of continuous gaming? Noob.”
Did we forget to add medical bills in the picture? Oh well. Hell has better ways for torturing. Honest. Now sleeplessness may not seem a perilous thing, but just like a nefarious devil, it usually works its way up REAL slowly. Slowly enough that you’ll end up bragging about the two day gaming spree you went on. I did. One week later, I’d had a hard time remembering what games I’d played or where. It took a cataclysmic week, compromised cranial and cognizance capacity and a weekend of sleep to tell me what had caused the cataclysmic week, compromised cranial and cognizance capacity and a weekend of sleep.
My sleepless gaming marathon. Long hours of gaming can severely disturb your sleep pattern causing conditions like insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, nocturnal myoclonus. There even have been reports of people having nightmares because of gaming or even thinking too much about the games they played. All these are caused by overstimulation of the brain. So if can’t master GLaDos’ cunning test chambers or can’t think of a witty enough reply to her sarcasm dripping words, don’t ponder over it through the night; save yourself trouble and sleep snug.
That’s that. Video games have brought about a radical change in the way we perceive entertainment but with it have come unwanted misadventures and their results which usually aren’t much to brag about. So enjoy responsibly and be mindful of your body’s agony. Keep twiddling those buttons!
