2. Migraines – “Man, my head’s left hurts. No, right. Was it left?”

Migraine
Migraines can make a bad day worse. Gaming itself isn’t the direct cause of migraines but migraine is turning into a worryingly ubiquitous problem for gamers worldwidde. Long hours of gaming almost definitely has you sitting in a rigid position for a number of hours that can result in stiff neck muscles. Those stiffened muscles can then exert pressure on the nerves leading up to your brain and then become the reason for your migraine.

Stiffness of neck muscles can also lead to blurred vision and stabbing pain in the eyes owing to the stiff muscles pressing the nerves leading to your eyes. Again it boils down to excessive hours of gaming with minimal mind to posture. So if you’re gaming for long, remember to apply light pressure to your neck and do a few half head turns every hour or whenever you feel a little uncomfortable; don’t swivel your head in full circles, do half turns in sets of clockwise and anticlockwise and go easy on it because stiff muscles can really take it to their hearts if you treat them unkindly.
