3. Eye Strain – “Just a few more minut- AAAH! It burns!”
That’s us at some point down the memory lane. Minus the handheld. Eye satrin,i t can strike you too and usually pretty unknowingly. Our eyes aren’t designed to glower at electronic screens for long periods of times and playing games means staring at the screen for hours at end. With our eyes becoming slaves to our favourite games, we hardly blink which results in improper lubrication of the eye which furthers the strain imposed on your eyes.
Let your eyes labour for too long and glasses would plague your life. Excessive strain can even leave you with temporary blurred vision. Avoiding eye strain isn’t a tedium though; keep a comfortable distance between the screen and your eyes, adjust the brightness of the screen, have the room you work in softly lit ensuring minimal glare on your screen and most importantly take regular short breaks, wash your eyes and get your doctor to prescribe you some eye lubricants that you can use while working. Oh and, glasses suck. Utterly.
