As the first new mainline entry in Square Enix’s Mana series in nearly twenty years, Visions of Mana is a game that may have had their eye on since its announcement late last year, and excitement surrounding it has only grown with each new promising showing since then. Recently, a number of outlets had the chance to go hands-on with the action RPG, following which more new gameplay footage has emerged.

The new footage showcases Visions of Mana’s real-time combat, which should be familiar to fans of the series, while also offering plenty of new glimpses of what exploration will entail in the game’s semi-open world areas.

Along with basic traversal moves like jumps, double jumps, and dashes, players will also be able to use special abilities at specific points that will be unique to areas, like soaring above gusts of wind in one area, and manipulating the flow of time in another. These abilities can also be used in combat.

Check out videos by Famitsu and Dengeki Online below for a deeper look at the gameplay.

Visions of Mana will launch this Summer for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC.
