Developer Owlcat has released a new trailer for its upcoming RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. The trailer, which you can check out below, focuses on the RPG’s role-playing aspects, showcasing some of the choices players can make, and the consequences those choices can have.

According to the trailer, just about every choice the player makes will affect the overall story of the game in some way. Choices can range from simple ones, like choosing to diplomatically deal with enemies of the Imperium of Mankind rather than just fighting them, or more large-scale choices, like deciding whether to save the people of a dying planet or to just destroy its populace from orbit to contain its dangers.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is slated for release on December 7, and will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The game gives players a void ship and throws them into the Koronus Expanse, where they will get to explore worlds, meet different factions, and take part in a variety of quests.

The game is also going to support online co-op, which is new for the studio, since its previous RPGs—Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous—were strictly single-player titles.
