As confirmed earlier in the month, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have revealed details on their post-launch plans for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and players are going to have plenty to look forward to in the months following the game’s release not long from now.

Season 1 will kick off in September, and is set to bring plenty of free new content in the form of a new map for the PvE mode Operations, a new enemy type to take on, a harder difficulty level, a new weapon, and more. Players can also expect support to be added in for Ultrawide resolutions and private PvE lobbies, while Saber will also add a sparring arena for players to check out in the Battle Barge.

Later in 2024, starting in October, Saber will kick off Space Marine 2’s second season, which will bring more new Operations missions, a Lethal difficulty option, another new enemy type, and a new pistol. Following that, across 2025, Saber will release more new Operations missions, PvP Eternal War game modes, Eternal War arenas, enemy types, Operatons Prestige ranks, Battle Barge expansions, a horde mode, and more across Seasons 3 and 4.

In addition to all of the aforementioned free updates, Space Marine 2 will also receive plenty of paid cosmetic DLC for those who want to expand the game’s already sizeable cosmetic customization options. Read more on those through here.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will release on September 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
