Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Second Anniversary Update is Live With New Chaos Siege Mode

The Space Wolves and Exorcists joining the fray should be exciting enough, but you also have the new Crucible mode to look forward to.

It’s such a delight to know that Saber and Focus are keeping Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 alive well into its third year.

Its second Anniversary Update is live and brings a new Siege Mode that puts you in control of the Chaos faction and pits you against Tyranids and Loyalists alike. The Crucible is another major attraction alongside a host of new Heroic armor pieces, a very cool-looking Thunder Hammer to use in battle, and great cosmetics for Season Pass 3 owners centered around the Space Wolves and Exorcists.

The Tactical Class is also getting a rework, which should please those of you who like what it brings to the table, along with more additions the developers want us to discover for ourselves. Like the new One-Handed Thunder Hammer.

All in all, that’s quite a nice bunch of additions, and the good news is that there’s more to come from a title that has continued to be a treat for Warhammer fans and one that we’ve always been rooting for. There’s also that new Class, the Apothecary, to look forward to in Q1 2027, but for now, this new trailer should give you a nice peek at what the latest update has to offer.
