Frontier Developments’ Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin launched ten days ago for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but despite the license, it’s floundering commercially. In a recent Business Update, the company admitted that despite “mostly positive” reviews from players and critics, sales till now are “lower than expected.”

Nevertheless, the developer will continue supporting the game with post-release content, which includes paid DLC, and expects sales to “build over time” as a result. According to SteamDb, the real-time strategy title peaked at 1,572 concurrent players. It also has 738 user reviews, with 66 percent positive for a “Mixed” rating.

Check out our review for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin here, where we awarded it a 6 out of 10. Despite enjoying the unique factions, fun campaign and gameplay that’s easy for newcomers to pick up, we found issues with the gameplay’s depth and lack of advanced strategies. Stay tuned for more details and updates on the title in the meantime.
