Younger folk may not remember, but for peak action gaming back in the day there was a little franchise called Ninja Gaiden. A pseudo-reboot of a NES platforming series, the games followed ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he hacked and slashed his way through legions of demons. Whole Ryu lives on in the Dead or Alive fighting series, he’ll be hacking and slashing again in the upcoming Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.

Announced via Koei Tecmo, the character will join the heroes side as he slashes through multitudes of supernatural foes. It may not be an exact replication of what he was doing before, but it should be a familiar sight for fans of Ninja Gaiden. Check it out below.

Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate will release February 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. To get a look at the first screenshots for the game showcasing new characters and abilities, check it out through here.
