Watch Dogs 9 Minute Trailer Reveals Competitive and Co-op Multiplayer, CtOS Mobile Gameplay

Ubisoft's next big AAA open world title has a fairly meaty multiplayer component.

Ubisoft Montreal has released a new nine minute trailer for the multiplayer modes of its upcoming open world hacking adventure Watch Dogs. The trailer – which you can check out above – details the various co-op and competitive modes you can take part in along with the CtOS mobile companion.

You can either invade some one’s game by taking on a contract, thus attempting to hack them or kill some one who is hacking you, or participate in a game with the entire city under control by a single user with the mobile app. The latter is especially interesting since you’ll need to run through checkpoints quickly as the mobile user detonates steam pipes, summons police, follows you with a helicopter and much more.

Finally, there’s the team co-op multiplayer wherein you infiltrate territory, steal and decode files, and fend off the opposing team while doing so. It may not (yet) be on GTA Online’s level but it’s pretty unique. Watch Dogs is out on May 27th for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
