Watch Dogs Game Play Series Episode 1: Hacking Is Your Weapon

Take a look at the upcoming hack system from Watch Dogs.

Watch Dogs, the upcoming open-world, action adventure game from Ubisoft, had it’s first in a series of game play teaser trailers today. This installment in the series gives players a look at how they will be able to manipulate the city of Chicago and use it to their advantage as the progress through the story.

In Watch Dogs, the city of Chicago itself will be your weapon, via the use of a city-wide security system, CtOS, which controls everything form traffic lights to ATMs, to personal computers to jet planes. Since the implementation of CtOS, the city of Chicago has become a much smoother, more integrated city, with crime rates at an all time low, transportation speeds at an all time high and communication rates at their best ever.

That is until you came into town.

You will hack your way into the heart of CTOS, district by district, until the entire city is at your disposal: Access anyone’s personal computer, their bank account, listen to their phone calls NSA style, steal their passwords. With every illicit act your hacking skills will increase.

Other uses of the CTOS system include tracking or trapping your enemies, hacking into police frequencies and deciding whether or not you want to assist criminals or policement. The city is yours to build or destroy.

Watch Dogs releases in November of 2013 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Wii U.
