The ambitious open-world game gives a good stable of characters at once.

When it comes to ambition in the AAA space, it’s a relatively rare thing. Most games that turn into major franchises tend to play it pretty safe once they find a certain formula. Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs Legion is somewhere in between. It definitely seems to be pretty close to what you expect with Ubisoft’s open-world titles, but it’s aiming to be complex in a way unheard of as it will allegedly allow you to recruit any and all NPCs in the world. But today, we did get an idea of some limit on the ambitious idea in the amount of characters you can recruit and play at one time.

In an interview with SegmentNext, Kent Hudson said that the game will allow you to recruit and play up to 20 characters at a time in your DeadSec resistance group. 20 is still quite a sizable amount, and presumably you can replace any of those with new characters once they are captured or killed, but it does give us an idea of what kind of cap to the recruiting we can expect.

Watch Dogs Legion will release March 6th 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. For an idea of why the company chose the UK setting, we got you covered through here.
