While Batman has had a very successful solo video game existence due to the Arkam series of video games, the other legendary DC character, Superman, hasn’t been as lucky. While Big Blue has been a major part of the popular Injustice series, that solo title has alluded the character. But, allegedly, it hasn’t been from a lack of trying if some new leaks are to be believed.

James Sigfield, writer and notorious leaker, mentioned on Twitter that attempts at a solo game have been ongoing since 2013. The games have ranged from open world exploration based games to more grounded and linear experiences, such as a game that was to be called Superman Unbound. Sigfield breaks down each project, why they fell apart and various alleged leaked artwork from these projects. You can see the beginning of the Twitter thread below. Due to the nature of this leak, we file this under rumor and speculation, but it seems plausible enough considering other leaks and the timeline.

Allegedly, the next game from WB Montreal is a new Arkham title, so whether Superman will ever get his due remains to be seen. But it seems that WB wants it to happen, so eventually, fingers crossed it’ll happen someday.
