After Subnautica and Super Meat Boy, Epic Games has announced the next free game that will be available on the Epic Games Store: What Remains of Edith Finch. Developed by Giant Sparrow and released in April 2017, the first person adventure title has garnered tons of praise since launch. It will be free on the Epic Games Store from January 10th to 25th.

The story starts with Edith Finch returning to her family home after her mother’s death. As the last of her line, Edith is looking to investigate the so-called curse that results in the death of different family members, save for one, every generation. By exploring her relatives’ rooms, the player will explore different sequences that highlight how they died.

To claim the free copy when it becomes available, head to the Epic Games and simply add it to your cart. Head to checkout and it should appear in your account. You’ll need the Epic Games Launcher in order to play it, but it’s well worth the trouble, considering the game’s quality. What Remains of Edith Finch is also available on Xbox One, PS4, and on Steam, if that’s your fancy.
