Comedy golf game WHAT THE GOLF? has been announced for release on PS4 and PS5. The game will be coming to Sony’s consoles on March 14. Check out the release date trailer below.
Originally released as part of the Apple Arcade subscription service back in 2019, WHAT THE GOLF? was released on PC that same year, before coming to Switch in 2020.
The PlayStation version of the game is set to also make use of the PS5’s DualSense controller. The game is set to bring over its entire collection of more than 300 levels, with plenty of them having gone through some reworks to play well with the shift away from touchscreens to controllers. The PlayStation release of WHAT THE GOLF? will also include additional levels released through updates, including the Among Us-inspired Among Golf.
Rather than focusing on properly emulating the sport of golf, WHAT THE GOLF? instead goes for a more comedic approach to the sport. The game was, by the studio’s own admission, made by developers that know nothing about golf, and makes claims that it “fixes golf once and for all”.
