Wii U First TV Commercial Debuts in UK

The minute long advert talks about the key features of Nintendo's newest console.

Posted By | On 22nd, Oct. 2012

Nintendo debuted its first commercial for the upcoming Wii U on UK television, and it’s actually one of the better made commercials for a new game system, given how there’s a general state of confusion regarding whether it’s a new console or not.

This facet is clarified right off the bat, and we then begin going through the numerous features of the Wii U. This includes the augmented reality or AR features, being able to play games “as you’ve never played” or “seen them before”, transferring the gameplay from the TV to your Wii U gamepad in case some one else wants to use the TV and much more. We get a glimpse of several Wii U properties during the commercial, like Darksiders 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Tekken Tag Tournament, and many, many more.

Not bad for the very first commercial, as the Wii U is scheduled to release on November 30th worldwide. Let’s see how subsequent ones add to the concepts introduced.
