Wii U Games Line Up For 2015 Is Nothing Short of Spectacular

It's got the best library on the market, and it doesn't look like that will change in 2015 either.

Star Fox

It’s amazing, but for a game that is due out some time next year- Miyamoto confirmed that it would be releasing in 2015 at The Game Awards a few weeks ago- we have seen absolutely nothing of Star Fox. This is not hyperbole- we literally have not seen anything of it. No screenshots, no videos, no trailers, nothing. We’ve heard it mentioned, yes, and Nintendo is pegging it as a major tentpole release next year, but that’s about it. We don’t know anything more about the game.

But for Star Fox fans, who have been left out in the cold for the better part of a decade now, simply knowing that a new game in the series is incoming, that the franchise is not dead and forgotten by Nintendo, is enough- as are the implicit reassurances from Nintendo that the game will be a return to the basics of what made Star Fox so great in the first place, that the gimmickry of the Gamecube and DS games would be gone, that this is a game that will be meaningfully at home on the Wii U.

And why not? Every single one of us remembers how amazing Star Fox 64 was, and the sheer joy of mastering that game. If the new Wii U Star Fox game follows in its footsteps, then the Wii U will have another winner in its library.
