Wii U Games Line Up For 2015 Is Nothing Short of Spectacular

It's got the best library on the market, and it doesn't look like that will change in 2015 either.

Devil’s Third

One of the greatest action games of all time- in fact, many will argue that it is the greatest game of all time, in spite of games like Bayonetta 2- is Ninja Gaiden Black. Tomonobu Itagaki redefined action games with Ninja Gaiden’s stylish revival on the Xbox back in the early 2000s, so all eyes were on his next project, announced a few years ago as Devil’s Third, in collaboration with THQ, and then mysteriously disappearing, assumed to be dead once THQ went down under.

But see, Nintendo has a knack for rescuing these games that would otherwise be dead. These cult action games, that may not be huge sellers, but add huge prestige to their library. They did it with Bayonetta 2, and they did it again with Devil’s Third, which was announced exclusively for the Wii U back at E3. The game, which promises an insane blend of swordfighting, close range melee, and shooting combat all together, has been touted by Itagaki as a game that will redefine the action genre.

It looks like it will have a great multiplayer component to go with it as well, which Itagaki has promised will set new standards for console multiplayer gameplay- although then again, Itagaki was never one for modesty. But even if we put his boasts aside, it’s hard to deny the game does look promising- and when it has pedigree such as Itagaki’s backing it, and when it is being published by Nintendo, who have a rigorous standard for quality, and when it looks to be completely different from anything else on the Wii U, I think it’s a game well worth keeping your eyes on.
