In WILD HEARTS, preparing yourself to face the Kemonos is one of the biggest challenges. It’s not enough to simply pick an overpowered weapon; you also have to take care of your defense. Choosing the best armor in WILD HEARTS can be tricky, but it’s essential to your survival. Some armors are meant to be upgraded throughout the game, while others should be discarded as soon as you get them. In this guide, we will discuss the best armors and explain our reasons for choosing them.

By the end of this guide, you’ll be able to confidently pick the right armor for the job, no matter what kind of Kemono you’re facing.

Hunters Garb

  • This is the starting armor in WILD HEARTS.
  • The armor’s stats are not impressive, and its defense is low.
  • There are no skills associated with this armor, making it the weakest in the game.
  • It is recommended to replace this armor with something better as soon as possible.

Fresh Fern Armor set

  • The Fresh Fern armor set is the first armor with an actual skill
  • The gauntlets and sune-ate of Fresh Fern have 13% Antitoxin skills
  • The Antitoxin skill shields you from poisonous effects

Skills:

  • Body – 13% Antitoxin
  • Sune-ate – 13% Antitoxin

Young Samurai Garb

  • The Young Samurai Garb is an early-game armor that is considered one of the best in WILD HEARTS.
  • It offers powerful stats and skills that can aid in survival during battles.
  • This armor allows you to develop a specific style, either Kemono-path or Human-path.
  • It has a high defense and provides a significant health boost, making it quite tanky.
  • The armor is only weak against fire-based attacks, but it can be swapped out for another set when facing fire Kemonos.

Skills:

(Base)

  • Helmet – Threaphile (+1)
  • Body Armor – Health Boost (+3)
  • Gauntlets – Threadphile (+1)
  • Haidate – Health Boost (+3)

Ocean Wave Armor

  • Ocean Wave Armor is a good option for a stealth build.
  • It offers sneak attack opportunities to reduce Kemono HP quickly.
  • However, it lacks defense and is not suitable for prolonged fights.
  • Good movement skills are necessary to avoid taking too many hits.

Skills:

  • Uwagi – Sealth Art 16%
  • Momohiki – Sealth Art 16%

Basara Armor

  • The Basara Armor is one of the best in the game, with high defense and impressive elemental defenses.

  • The armor can cure ailments, which is useful when fighting poison-type Kemonos.
  • It can be used for both Human and Kemono paths, but the Human path is more effective for health recovery.
