Windjammers

DotEmu has announced that Windjammers, perhaps one of the coolest Frisbee titles ever, is finally available for the PS4 and PlayStation Vita. The retro title first released in 1994 for the Neo-Geo and has been a cult favourite ever since. It’s now available to purchase for £11.99 with online play and cross-buy functionality (meaning you can purchase it for one platform and own it on both).

Windjammers includes five game modes – Arcade, Infinite, Local Versus, Online Quick Match and Ranked Match. Online Versus include ranked matches and the ability to play in leagues. There are six characters to choose from, each with their own skills and super throws, competing in six different environments and two unlockable mini-games (Dog Distance and Bowling).

Those competing in online ranked matches can check the leaderboards and compare stats. The Windjammers Asia Championships will be taking place on October 14th and 15th in SEA Major 2017 in Singapore so if you’re interested in the $6,500 prize, it’s worth a look.
