42. The Witcher 3

Two lead developers on CD Projekt RED’s upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have left the company to go join indie game studio 11 bit studios.

The departures are lead gameplay designer Maciej Szczesnik and gameplay producer Marek Ziemak; Szczesnik joins in the capacity of lead designer, although Ziemak’s role at his new place of hire remains a bit ambiguous for now.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is slated to be the final episode in the seminal Witcher trilogy by CD Projekt Games. Due out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC later this year, the game is a fully open world WRPG that takes the best of the previous two games and enhances them by removing everything that those two games did wrong.

No Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or Wii U version of this game will be releasing, as apparently, those consoles are not powerful enough to support a full fledged version of the game, and CD Projekt RED does not want to compromise on its vision.
